Synopsis and Plot Summary
Yan Xing, a skilled investigator, becomes a substitute bride as she marries Shen Du to protect her family. Together, they solve mysteries and uncover a conspiracy threatening Xiang'an City.
Adapted from the web novel "Chang An Tong Que Ming" (长安铜雀鸣) by Feng Huang Xi (凤凰栖), it follows Yan Xing, the daughter of a concubine, who has top-notch investigative skills and has passed the exam to become a female official. When her sister escapes an imperial marriage arranged by the Empress Dowager, Yan Xing steps in to protect her family, marrying Shen Du, the head of the imperial guard. As mysterious cases plague the capital, Yan Xing and Shen Du team up to solve them. Their partnership deepens into a strong bond as they uncover a conspiracy that threatens the peace of Xiang'an City.
