Synopsis and Plot Summary
The battle-hardened heroine from the demon world attempts to escape an arranged marriage and falls into the mortal realm. She is saved by a man and their fates have been entangled since then.
The ancient gods have died and Xing Zhi (Lin Gengxin) was the last god left in the world. Rumor has it that this god has lived alone in the sky for tens of thousands of years, he feels no emotion and has no desire. Xing Zhi single-handedly turned the tide during the battle of the immortals and demons and he has completely disappeared since then.
Hundreds of years pass. Shen Li (Zhao Liying) is the Azure Sky King, the female "prince" of the demon realm who is skilled in battle. On her 1000th birthday, she is trapped into a political alliance due to a decree to marry the Heavenly Emperor's grandson who is notorious for being a frivolous flirt. While trying to escape the marriage, she is forced back to her original form as a phoenix and falls to the mortal realm. Seriously injured and unconscious, she is mistaken for a fat chicken and locked in a cage for sale with all her feathers plucked from her body.
When Shen Li wakes up, she falls to her knees in anger, but there is nothing she can do. Just as she was slumping her head, a handsome man in green and white robes passes by, staring at her thoughtfully for a long time. He then smiles: "I want this one." The fate of the two interlock over a seemingly casual transaction.
