Synopsis and Plot Summary

A university graduate with no prior experience who goes to Beijing to look for work fails at every try. She meets a woman in her early 30's who dreams of running her own fashion magazine company.

After failing to find work, Cheng Xin (Yin Tao) has to settle for staying with her uncle temporarily. An (Zhao Ziqi) is a strong-minded Beijing native with an entrepreneurial spirit. She's actively recruiting people and full of passion towards creating a Chinese publishing house. Chen Xin becomes one of her employees along with experienced editor Shen Rongxuan (Zhang Yao), second-generation rich Yin Na (Zhang Zixuan) and under-appreciated photographer Ai Chongwen (Zu Feng). Through their teamwork, the first issue of the magazine launches successfully.

As Cheng Xin aspires to become a fashion editor, her mother suddenly arrives in Beijing. Ai Chongwen's readiness to help Cheng Xin causes her mother to misunderstand while his own girlfriend Ge Yiqing (Li Yuan) grows increasingly jealous. Office politics, complicated relationships and the struggle for fame come into play as the fate of the company lies in their hands.
