Synopsis and Plot Summary
A Beijing drifter accidentally picks up a fuerdai (second-generation rich) and gets pursued by a gaofushuai (tall, rich and handsome).
Destiny has its way of bringing love to a web blogger named Tang Nannan (Dilraba Dilmurat). She is an aspiring writer with an imaginative mind that is often too unconventional for the average person. Hoping to make it big, she daydreams a bit too excessively. One day, she accidentally ruins Zhu Huo's (Leon Zhang) proposal to his ideal girl and immediately makes an enemy out of him. Holding on to their own pride and prejudices, the two end up in a living arrangement where they have to cohabit. Zhu Hou's good friend Xiao Jianjun (Vengo Gao) falls in love with Tang Nannan at first sight and starts to actively pursue her. Instead of helping, Zhu Hou creates more conflict and that's where their love begins...
Fun Facts
- Filming took place in Beijing and Italy.
- Filming began on October 18, 2015.
- Filming took place in below 0 degrees temperature. The cast had to dress in fall outfits while the cameras were rolling.
- It is Leon Zhang and Dilraba's 4th time working together and their first time to play a leading role in a movie. Dilraba and Vengo Gao have also worked together multiple times. The three are signed under Jaywalk Studio.
- The producer pushed for Dilraba to play the leading lady because she is playful, bubbly and quirky like her character.
- When filming wrapped in China, Yang Mi came to set with a cake to celebrate.
- Dilraba lost her voice from shouting as her character which was vivacious and full of energy had many scenes that required her to be loud.
- Leon Zhang had kissing scenes with both Dilraba and Vengo Gao. He found the kissing scene with Vengo difficult to shoot and shared that they had to retake the scene 5 to 6 times. His lips were numb by then.
- Although the movie was filmed years earlier, it ended up being released in 2017 after the hit drama Three Lives Three Worlds Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms. Dilraba and Vengo Gao's couple pairing drew in a large fanbase and the actress jokes that their situation is reversed in the movie. Dilraba no longer has to chase after Vengo's character because it is the other way around.
