Synopsis and Plot Summary
In Elephant Town, preparations are underway for a transformative event: a marathon with 10,000 participants. Amid the excitement, Zhang Kuang, an ambitious local, dreams of boosting his career by securing the hosting rights, but it all goes awry.
Zhang Kuang's career plans derail when he gets tangled in a counterfeit money scheme and the elephant he borrowed from a circus goes missing. Desperate for funds, Zhang Kuang turns to a local gangster, unaware that he's being watched by the crime-ridden circus and other shady characters, Uncle Zhi and Sister Hei. These old counterfeiters hope to use the marathon to launder their final batch of fake money. Unknowingly, Zhang Kuang becomes their pawn. His only goal now is to survive the chaos and finish the marathon.
