Synopsis and Plot Summary
Adapted from the Chinese classic “Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio” by Pu Song Ling, Painted Skin follows A Ruo (Gillian Chung), the Dragon Girl of the East China Sea, who searches for her beloved and finds mortal Wang Sheng (Li Mingxuan). The fox demon Xiao Man (Cui Zhenzhen) schemes to break Wang Sheng's heart to obtain a precious spiritual leaf from A Ruo. Forced to use the leaf to mend Wang Sheng's heart, A Ruo and Xiao Man engage in a contest to win his affection.
