Synopsis and Plot Summary
In Juqingli, an old alley near Shanghai's Xintiandi, "New Shanghai" tenants with diverse dreams strive to settle down. Among them, Feng Pite, an assistant in a film company, and his boss, Zeng Xiang, face constant conflicts as they become neighbours.
Feng Pite (Sean Sun) and Zeng Xiang (Deng Jiajia) are tasked with saving a failing project, a film revolving around Juqingli. They use VR technology to immerse themselves in the story, gaining new insights as they realize the importance of family and friendship. As a result of the project, the tenants of Juqingli grow closer, continuing to chase their dreams in the city that welcomes everyone.
