Synopsis and Plot Summary
Du Ruofei, a chemical engineering student, time travels and becomes the wife of the Minister of Punishment, Xun Changhao. Despite his cold demeanor, she falls in love with him and they team up to solve mysterious cases.
An avid fan of suspense novels, Du Ruofei (Zhang Zining) gets hit by a car while reading "Qing Ben Wushuang." She wakes up in ancient times as Xun Changhao's new wife, after his first wife has passed away, but he's the male protagonist from her novel. Facing family challenges such as a difficult mother-in-law, the arrogant sister-in-law and Xun Changhao's cluelessness about women, she helps him find love in hopes of returning home, only to unknowingly fall for him.
