Synopsis and Plot Summary
In the late 1970s on the way from Ningyang to Harbin, railway police Wang Xin encounters Ma Kui, an old railway policeman, and mistakes him for a fugitive. Master and apprentice transition from initial dissatisfaction and constant conflicts to fighting side by side and working in seamless cooperation amidst the various facets of life aboard a train.
