Synopsis and Plot Summary
In the tumultuous backdrop of the 1950s, overseas scholar Ji Danyang returns to China, dedicating himself to national defense research. However, upon arriving in Hong Kong, he unwittingly falls into the trap of enemy agents.
Public Security officer Pang Hongmei (Peng Xiaoran) takes on the mission to ensure scientific researcher Ji Danyang's (Liu Xueyi) safe return to China. Despite the failure of the enemy's plot in Hong Kong, they continue to attempt to sabotage the project. Pang Hongmei and her team engage in multiple confrontations with the enemy. However, at crucial stages of the research, the adversaries manage to deploy destructive plans ahead of the authorities, and the elusive "Snow Wolf" remains at large. In a final showdown, the team faces a life-and-death struggle against the enemy.
Pang Hongmei, Ji Danyang, and hospital nurse Bai Hui (Jian Renzi) gradually develop a deep understanding and friendship. However, as Pang Hongmei begins to suspect the identity of Bai Hui's father, traditional Chinese medicine practitioner Bai Minghan (Ding Yongdai), their friendship faces an uncertain future.
