Synopsis and Plot Summary

It tells the story of Lin Xiaopan who mistakenly becomes a housekeeper through a series of events and grows from a newbie to a senior housekeeper with superb coordination and management abilities.

Lin Xiaopan's (Jian Renzi) parents divorced when she was young, and she left for Japan with her father. She graduates from a Japanese short-term university majoring in home economics. She may seem silly and sweet, but she is actually a passionate girl with a strong sense of justice. Her father who dotes on his daughter runs a Chinese restaurant in Japan. Xiao Pan is intent on marrying her boyfriend Zhou Zhiwei (Dai Xu) without caring that her father objects or that he is poor, and she never expected that he would run from their wedding. In order to find the reason, she returns to Shanghai and it marks the start to her housekeeping career. There, she meets Zuo Fei (Zhang Bo), a man suffering from the pain of losing his wife.

The title translates to, "Have Hope."
It was shot in Shanghai, Guangxi and Japan.
Filming began in Ningbo on June 27, 2018.
It made a surprise premiere in 2023 when the drama about the life of late singer Teresa Teng which was supposed to broadcast on the same time slot announced that it has been postponed.
The heroine's name Xiao Ban means Little Hope.
