Synopsis and Plot Summary

Set in Hong Kong's most golden era during the 1980's, the story follows the struggles and emotional entanglements of the women at Kingdom Night Club.

The nightclub's "mamasan" Sa Ching Ha (Monica Chan) and her girls Shek Wai King (Elaine Yiu), Man Nga Lun (Jacky Cai), Kong Kit Yee (Yvette Chan) and Yue Hau Hau (Connie Man) have a good relationship with each other. The five ladies who have their own reasons for becoming midnight beauties experience many ups and downs on the road of love.

Nga Lun sacrifices everything for her boyfriend Dave (Dominic Ho) before she finds out he was playing her all along. Club bouncer Chi Fei (Mat Yeung) intends to help, but Wai King getting into the picture serves to complicate matters. Kin Yee has to make a choice between a playboy (Kelvin Kwan) and her former classmate (Matthew Ko); Hau Hau is devastated by a man who tries to live off her; Ching Ha waits for her husband Ching Lung (Michael Tong) to be released from prison. There are intrigues and people who will do anything to get their way, and in a world where sinister forces are rampant, this place of glitter and gold is filled with danger.
