Synopsis and Plot Summary
Fire chief Song Yan and ER doctor Xu Qin reunite after ten years. The two parted ways in their youths due to family. When they meet again, both of them have grown and changed a lot.
Due to the nature of their work, Song Yan (Yang Yang) and Xu Qin's (Xu Qin) paths continue to intersect. Song Yan leads the firefighters in a brave fight to save others. No matter how many tests of life and death come his way, he never veers from his original aspirations. His persistence encourages Xu Qin gradually untying the knot that has troubled them for years. They walk side by side, overcoming family differences to be together as they guard this beautiful city in their own ways. "Every time you go against the tide, I will be right here waiting for you."
