The Great War

It tells the story of the Chinese volunteer army on the Korean battlefield who made sacrifices despite the disparity in military strength in exchange for successive victories.

In the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949, the country was faced with "internal and external troubles". Since the outbreak of the Korean Civil War, civilians were brutally bombed in the border between China and North Korea. In order to maintain the hard-won peace, the People's Volunteer Army entered North Korea in October 1950 to mark the beginning of the "War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea" in Chinese history.

• Zhang Ziyi and Zhang Songwen make special appearances.
• The script was polished for three years and preparation for the film took a year and a half.
• Filming officially began in 2022.
• The crew was equipped with more than 30,000 sets of costumes, including over 200 styles such as 60 types of military uniforms, and more than 100,000 catties of old-style clothes to restore the look of nearly a hundred great men.
• In order to truly represent the battlefield, tens of thousands of molds with different "damage" special effects were made; planes and tanks are all 1:1 replicas, and it even took a month just to build three planes.
