Synopsis and Plot Summary
It follows the story of the hot-blooded youth Xiao Yan. Having completing his three-year promise with Nalan Yanran, the Xiao family is suddenly attacked and his father Xiao Zhan is taken captive.
To save his father and restore the glory of the Xiao family, Xiao Yan (He Luoluo) heeds the advice of Master Yao Chen (Qiu Xinzhi) and returns to Jianan Academy as he is determined to further his cultivation in order to gain the ability to fight against Yunlan Sect. Back at the academy, Xiao Yan is not only reunited with his childhood sweetheart Xiao Xun'er (Ding Xiaoying), but also meets the mysterious Zi Yan (Gu Yuhan) and other friends.
Fun Facts
- It was initially being regarded as Fights Break Sphere Season 2 for being the next live-action drama adaptation based on Fights Breaks Sphere but the official title was revealed to be Battle Through the Heaven, similar to the 2018 adaptation.
- The Chinese title translates to, "Battle Through the Heaven: Youth Returns."
- It features a new cast in the roles formerly played by Wu Lei, Jelly Lin, etc.
- It brings on Douluo Continent director Yang Zhenyu as the director. He is also the cinematographer of the 2018 Battle Through the Heavens.
- Filming which lasted four months wrapped in the end of 2021.
- Female lead Ding Xiaoying was part of the cast of 2021's Douluo Continent.
