Synopsis and Plot Summary
Set during the early years of the Republic of China, the story follows a fallen noblewoman aspiring to be a doctor and the son of a great family who becomes a soldier.
In the beginning of the 20th century China, people's livelihoods were in decline. Jin Yurong (Rain Wang) is an aspiring doctor who hopes to help as many people as she can with her own two hands. She meets Zhao Zhengnan (Ryan Zhang) who just like her, cares about the common good. The two go from acquaintances to lovers.
Zhao Zhengnan becomes a soldier with progressive thinking but during the torrent of the times, they are forced to separate. Just when Yurong falls into a trough in her life, she finds direction in the revolution. Inspired by Yurong, Zhao Zhengnan joins in the fight against Japanese occupation to embrace the new China together.
