Synopsis and Plot Summary
General Du Zhenghao was attacked by a butterfly demon on his way home to visit relatives. Bao Zheng, who has resigned from office, decides to retire from state affairs after his parents passed away one after another.
Pan Huaiwen, the county magistrate of Hefei, pays Bao Zheng (Sammul Chan) a sudden visit and begs him to help deal with the butterfly demon. After Bao Zheng learns the ins and outs, he declares that he does not believe in the theory of ghosts and gods and feels that something strange is going on. Thereafter, a series of events unfold in the journey to find out the truth.
