Looking Up

In the vast space, an astronaut has lost all contact and in his desperation, he recalls memories of his most amazing father and how they guarded their family over a long period of time.

Ma Haowen (Deng Chao) was imprisoned due to an accident, which made him regretfully miss seven years of his son's growth. With his unique method of education, he has given his son Ma Fei (Sun Xilun) the space to grow up freely, teaching him the ability to think independently and to have the courage to face difficulties. While the school feels that Ma Fei who has been facing academic problems has no hope for improvement, Ma Haowen never gives up as he encourages his son to find his dream. School director Yan (Li Jianyi) and Ma Haowen make a bet to improve Ma Fei's academic performance in one semester in order to prove that he is not a hopeless student.

• Fiming lasted around four months from September 10, 2018 to January 3, 2019.
• It was shot in Lanxi, Zhejiang and Jiande.
• Actor Deng Chao once again co-directs the film with Yu Baimei after 2015's Devil and Angel.
