Synopsis and Plot Summary
The Heavenly Emperor descended to the mortal realm to face a calamity. Born from two strands of his souls, one turned into the God of War while the other was trapped in hell for a hundred years.
When the Heavenly Emperor came to the mortal realm to destroy the demon tribe, the God of War, Changsheng (Mi Re), who was transformed from one strand of his soul became revered by tens and thousands of people. The other strand, Yunhuang (Xiao Xiangfei), suffered for hundreds of years in hell. He grew filled with resentment and wished for nothing but Changsheng's doom.
Changsheng did not die even after having his heart dug out. Yunhuang frames Changsheng making him out to be a bloodthirsty god of war who has descended into evil. As their battle rages on, Xingyue (Lai Yumeng) uses her sword to take the emperor jade's heart in order to avenge Yunhuang. Upon learning that Yunhuang faked his death, she sacrifices herself to help Changsheng. Their love triangle is cruel and heart-wrenching. The seal of the underworld has been lifted and the three worlds of gods, humans and demons are in chaos. Can the twin souls of the Heavenly Emperor return to their place?
