Synopsis and Plot Summary

Lu Xiao, the captain of the criminal police who has many achievements under his belt, sinks deep into the quagmire due to a "floating corpse case" along a river in Harbour City .

The suspect going by the monicker "Water Ghost" is not only cunningly deceptive but also a diver with seemingly superhuman abilities. Lu Xiao and his new partner Fang Yitong (Li Meng) experience many hurdles in the process of tracking down "Water Ghost". Lu Xiao even loses his beloved fiancee. In Lu Xiao's darkest moment, "Water Ghost" resurfaces.

The next murder target is suspected to be Cheng Lijun, the richest person in Harbour City. Lu Xiao can only rely on his willpower, restraint, intelligence and courage to go through fragmented clues in an attempt to solve the serial murder cases. What lies ahead in the endless darkness is an extremely capable and ruthless killer.

It is Qin Junjie's second time playing a policeman after the 2019 drama Never Say Never.
The boot ceremony was held June 2020 in Shancheng, Chongqing.
