Final Destiny

It tells the story of Ji Gong and the good deeds he accumulates before he became the Living Buddha.

According to legend, the Dapeng bird under the seat of Buddha has been causing trouble in the mortal realm. Buddha has sent an envoy to hunt it down and the ensuing battle is fierce. Five hundred years later, a man who lay wounded in the wilderness is rescued by Lu Jinger (Jessica Kan). Since then, he also started working at the embroidery village where she works.

The man meets the eminent monk Huiyuan in his dream and finally remembers that his real name is Li Xiuyuan (Edwin Siu) thus allowing him to also recognize his friend Fang Zhipeng (Sammy Sum). Xiuyuan and female constabe Su Rou (Roxanne Tong) begin to develop feelings for each other amidst their constant bickering. Jinger also reveals her feelings to Xiuyuan. As the town falls into a crisis due to the black demon, Xiuyuan steps up to save the common people. It turns out that everything is a cycle of cause and effect and the heaven's providence.
