Synopsis and Plot Summary

A story about the "poorest" second-generation rich follows Zhao Jiadi, the heir of the Northern economic giant "Jinhai Industry" who could never approve of his father's misdeeds. He then travels South to start his university life as an impoverished student.

Zhao Jiadi (He Peng) and his father have always had a tense relationship ever since he was a child. Refusing to accept even a penny, Zhao Jiadi moves away for university. In Haicheng, this atypical "second-generation rich" experiences college, he falls in love and continues on in his journey to grow into a man.

At the same time, the power struggle among the wealthy gradually intensifies and Zhao Jiadi is caught in the center of it all. Sticking to the belief that "people must be persistent in order to achieve success", the young Zhao Jiadi learns to forgive his father. In this arena, he seeks redemption in order to have the ordinary family he has always longed for.
