Five hundred years before the havoc in the heavenly palace, Zixia (Ma Xinrui), a wick fairy in front of Buddha's seat is about to burn out and the only way for her to save herself is to find the "lamplighter" who can pull out her sword from its scabbard.
With the help of the Pandora's Box, Zixia sees that her lamplighter is the Great Sage Monkey King who will wreck the Heavenly Palace in five hundred years! But in this life, he is just an ordinary person named Zhizunbao (Wu Haochen) who is ready to inherit his father's (Ng Man-tat) noodle shop.
