Synopsis and Plot Summary

A wealthy businessman known for his misdeeds has suddenly died. Investigation by prosecutors leads to an old case that has been buried for years. Each unsheathed layer exposes a bigger conspiracy.

As the truth is gradually revealed, everyone is forced to get involved. Young prosecutor Li Rui (Huang Jingyu) is relentless in his quest for justice. As a lawyer, Tong Yuchen (Bai Baihe) is determined to protect her client's interests. The suspect Xia Wei (Wang Likun) appears in court and the details shed light to a complicated relationship with her husband Hong Junshan (Feng Shaofeng).
