Synopsis and Plot Summary
A story of passion, sadness, love and hatred follows Jinyiwei brothers Zhang Chengde and Lu Yi who ultimately stand on opposite sides of the battlefield.
Zhang Chengde (Wei Guannan) and Lu Yi (Zhang Xinyu) are both members of the imperial secret police. Through the mysterious ghost ball, they learn that General Li Han has been secretly communicating with the enemy and their discovery inadvertently reveals a shocking secret behind Zhang Chengde's identity.
Zhang Chengde learns that his adoptive father killed his birth father, triggering a rivalry between adoptive father and son. As the truth comes to light, the two "brothers" reach a point of no return.
