Synopsis and Plot Summary
The young daughter of the Cheng family grew up away from her parents. In order to protect herself, she had to be extra diligent while pretending to be the opposite. She meets three men - the emperor's adopted son Ling Buyi, the talented Yuan Shen of Bailu Mountain and the aristocrat Lou Yao.
Cheng Shaoshang (Zhao Lusi) was left behind because her parents had gone off to fight in the war. Her greedy aunt intended for her to become a failure, so Cheng Shaoshang had to survive on her own. Faced with repeated schemes, she learns to hide her radiance until her parents return. However, years of estrangement have made it difficult for them to become family again.
Lacking in love her whole life, Cheng Shaoshang is both pragmatic and insecure in choosing a partner for marriage. She encounters three men who each have their pros and cons. Although the road to love is bumpy, she never regrets every choice she makes. Through her interactions with Ling Buyi (Wu Lei), she unintentionally becomes involved in the mystery surrounding his family and his identity. The two grow from their experiences, slowly reconciling with themselves and their families, and upholding the righteousness in their hearts to resolve a national crisis.

- Love Like the Galaxy is adapted from another novel by The Story of Minglan author Guan Xin Ze Luan.
- It reunites Wu Lei and Zhao Lusi who were co-stars in The Long Ballad although they had their respective couple pairings.
- The original novel is a time-travel story where the wild and unruly female lead from the modern day ends up in ancient times.
- Filming lasted over four months from July 26, 2021 to December 17, 2021.
