Synopsis and Plot Summary
Geng Geng and Yu Huai crossed paths in high school because of their names. This is a story about how they grew together, were separated and reunited again.
Everyone probably has that one person in their hearts that they'd never forget. A name mentioned by accident stirred a thousand waves in photographer Geng Geng's (He Landou) heart. Memories about the young Yu Huai (Arthur Chen) entered her mind again, and those were some of the best times. "Slacker" Geng Geng and "genius" Yu Huai were seat mates along with Jian Dan (Wang Chuyi), Bei Da (Zhou Chuchu), and Xu Yanliang (Chen Shuai).
Geng Geng and Yu Huai made a promise to each other. However, Yu Huai suddenly disappeared after the gaokao (national college entrance exams). When they meet again seven years later, will Geng Geng finally hear Yu Huai's answer that he didn't get to say back then? What is the reason he left without saying goodbye. The two face a tough choice once more.
Fun Facts
- In September 2019, Wefun Entertainment revealed their intention to focus on the youth film market. They are adapting "The Best of Us" and "Unrequited Love" both of which are part of the "Zhenhua Trilogy" into movies.
- The Chinese title is the same as the novel although the English title has been changed to "My Best Summer."
- It was shot in Wuhan.
