Synopsis and Plot Summary

The history of the 100 years of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party is told through eight classic songs that are interconnected.

First section: "International Song" (国际歌) follows revolutionary patriots who worked together to build the party to save the people;
Second section: "Long March" (万里长征) is about the persistence and heroic feats of "the Red Army that does not fear the difficulties of war."
Third section: "The Yellow River is Roaring" (黄河在咆哮) demonstrates the mission of the party during the "War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression;"
Fourth section: "No New China Without the Communist Party" (没有共产党就没有新中国) tells the story of the liberation of China to break through the darkness before dawn through the support of the whole nation;
Fifth section: "The Loveliest Person" (最可爱的人) follows the (Chinese) People's Volunteer Army (PVA) fighting on the battlefield during the Korean War;
Sixth section: "Song for Motherland" (歌唱祖国) focuses on the achievements during the development of New China such as the "Two Bombs, One Satellite;"
Seventh section: "A Toast for Hope" (为希望祝酒) focuses on the evolution of the steel industry during the period of China's reform and opening-up;
Eighth section: "Meeting of Young Friends" (年轻的朋友来相会) tells the story of Communists in the new era. They have never forgotten their original aspirations as they pour their blood, sweat and tears on the road to poverty alleviation.

The boot ceremony was held in Hengdian on December 30,2020.
Filming has wrapped after 100 days on April 8, 2021.
It is a drama to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC.
