Synopsis and Plot Summary

The story of a female legend follows Guo Yaoxiang, an official's daughter, from her life in the military barracks to the palace. She is brave, heroic and skilled in strategic warfare. Her destiny gradually becomes connected to the fate of the nation as she stands up for the people.

In the middle of the Tang Dynasty, Princess Shengping and Guo Yao's second daughter, Guo Yaoxiang (Hou Mengyao), often ran into trouble since childhood, so her parents sent her to the Hezhong army for training. Yaoxiang masters many skills and gains fame as a soldier. War at the frontier is tense, Yaoxiang accidentally falls into a trap laid by the enemy, the Hezhong army is almost destroyed after suffering a terrible defeat. Given the successive blows, Yaoxiang grows from a naive girl to a toughened female general as she assumes the mission of revitalizing her family and rebuilding the Hezhong army.

Prince of Guanling Li Chun (Qin Junjie) and Yaoxiang were childhood sweethearts. Fully aware of Yaoxiang's ambitions. Li Chun and Yaoxiang join hands to fight against the same enemies to restore peace in the country. Knowing that her destiny is closely linked to the Tang dynasty, Guo Yaoxiang assists Li Chun in achieving many great accomplishments.

Fun Facts

The booting ceremony was held on September 22, 2020 in Hengdian World Studios.

The main characters are based on Emperor Xianzong and Empress Yi'an from the Tang Dynasty.
It is Qin Junjie and Hou Mengyao's first time working together.
