Synopsis and Plot Summary

The founder's death ignites Wang Ju'an's struggles against the senior management over the control of the company. As Su Mo unwittingly becomes involved, the two start to put their guards down to reap a sincere romance.

Ansheng Group falls into a crisis two years after the death of its founder Wang Jianming. The family's eldest son Wang Ju'an (Vengo Gao) cannot see eye to eye with his aunt Wang Yanan (Tao Hong) who sits as the chairman of the board. As they engage in a battle to seize power, the problems among the top management spills over to the lower level and affects Su Mo (Zhang Yuqi) who is an employee. She becomes involved in a Hongmen banquet and unintentionally offends Wang Ju'an. Wang Ju'an is known to be a strict boss. Fortunately, Su Mo has the diligence and resilience to withstand Wang Ju'an's tests and grows rapidly under his guidance.

As Su Mo starts to shine in the workplace, she clashes again with Wang Ju'an which results in her dismissal. What Wang Ju'an didn't expect was that Su Mo would return as a chess piece of his aunt Wang Yanan. Having to stay prudent around each other, the two end up falling in love. However, Su Mo's stance and Wang Ju'an's arrogance brings an abrupt end to their relationship. When Wang Ju'an is hit by the loss of his younger brother and the truth around his own identity, Su Mo does not hesitate to set aside everything that she's worked so hard for to stay by his side. Together, they welcome a new chapter in their lives.
