Synopsis and Plot Summary
Comedy director Dong Chengpeng returns to his hometown to film his family as they celebrate the New Year. However, the unexpected passing of his grandma leads to a change of plans.
Director Dong Chengpeng went back to his hometown in the Northeastern countryside in Jilin province on a whim. He wanted to make a literary film that documents how a family spends the New Year together. Alas, his grandmother who was supposed to be the subject of the film passed away due to an illness. The family members who initially gathered for the shooting of the film ushered in the New Year's Eve to complete their last gathering.
