Synopsis and Plot Summary
A story that takes place in a futuristic time not so far from the present follows three families of different ages and social classes. It explores the convenience and impact that artificial intelligence brings to their daily lives in the year 2026.
Zhang Cong (Ning Wentong), a frustrated middle-aged man who has lost his job accidentally discovers that his neighbor Lao Wang recently purchased a robot that looks just like his wife. Lao Zhang immediately gets riled up with jealousy and anger.
Young couple Zhang Yi (Zhang Zidong) and Su Xiao'an (Zhang Xinyao) gave each other a carbon copy (Zhang Xinqi plays the robot Su Xiao'an) of themselves to avoid quarrels, but found the robots to be ineffective and unable to truly replace human feelings. Furthermore, it even results in a misunderstanding when Zhang Yi is caught with a bar girl.
The robot housewife Feng Fang (He Lin) who does the housework everyday and single-handedly raises Xiaobao (Lu Siyu) is the "perfect mom." Meanwhile, the real Feng Fang has just been released after serving her prison sentence for a crime related to artificial intelligence.
