Synopsis and Plot Summary

The story follows a father who wakes up from a coma with a renewed outlook. In the company of his four children, he wants nothing more than for them to work out their differences to become a real family as he strives to regain his life and embrace it to the fullest.

Lao Zeng (Liu Wei) suddenly fainted at a community basketball game leaving a seemingly harmonious family in a state of conflict. The eldest daughter, Zeng Zhiting (Wang Ou), is a chief surgeon. She has been too busy for so long with no time for family. The second child, Zeng Zhidong (Sun Yizhou), is the director of the most luxurious hotel in the city. Growing up in a special family has left him with emotional baggage. The third child, Zeng Zhixiang (Dai Xu), left home early to open a car repair shop. He is the most rational one in the family, but he has to hide his relationship with Xiang Jie (Xu Fanxi). Zeng Zhiling (Chen Yanqian), the youngest who most resembles Lao Zeng, is still as reckless as ever even after her dad's accident.

After Lao Zeng fell into a coma, accumulated grievances over the past few decades are revealed bit by bit turning the four children against each other. Just as their "fight" was at its ugliest, Lao Zeng wakes up in the hospital. He wishes for the children to untie the knot in their hearts to become real family members. Mr. Zeng makes his moves through a series of laughably embarrassing situations in his hopes that they can understand their father's intentions and put themselves in each other's shoes.
