Synopsis and Plot Summary
Ximen Debao is an aimless innkeeper. In order to win some business, he orders Tu Hao and his men to pretend to be bandits. At the opportune moment, Ximen Debao will swoop in to save the day and encourage the victims to come to his inn.
Alas, the good times don't last long. a mysterious monk easily sees through Debao's scam. Even worse, Lingzhou governor He Xiao kills an imperial envoy in order to obtain a treasure map and pins the murder on Debao. Debao becomes a wanted criminal overnight. His son You Rou dies an unnatural death. For the sake of revenge, Debao begins to practice martial arts with the monks. One by one, Debao's connection to the Shaolin Temple and the truth behind the conspiracy is slowly unravelled.
