Synopsis and Plot Summary

A group of students become part of a backup debate team in order to earn credits. Nonetheless, they eventually find their passion and go on their way to becoming a strong team that can hold their own in any competition.

Beijiao University is known throughout the country for its strong debate team. In order to lessen the pressure that their ace students are facing, the teacher has put together another team dedicated to act as a spare tire. Since the new team was formed, they became like a sheet of loose sand with no purpose and no direction. In fact, their very existence is constantly looked down upon and ridiculed by their counterparts at Team One.

Although they were once resigned to their fates, members of the backup team gradually find happiness and form strong friendships through debate. The stubborn and arrogant Xiao Yu (Wu Jiayi) learns how to listen and be mindful of others, Tao Hao (Mi Mi) who would always bend over backwards to please others learns how to say no, Nan Bei (Zhai Zilu) starts to find his direction in life while Ma Nan (Wang Zixuan) who fears the responsibilities of adulthood learns through the help of his teammates that escape is not the answer.

Debate has taught them a lot and they have fallen in love with it. However, Team One takes notice of their rapid improvement and starts to stir up trouble for fear of losing their standing at the national competition. In order to participate in the competition that they have fought for so long to attain, everyone overcomes many setbacks to finally enter the semi-finals. Upon encountering their biggest rivals, the team has to make the hardest choice for the sake of their dreams.
