Synopsis and Plot Summary

Set during the Warring States Period, the story follows the weakened Qin State as it evolves and becomes stronger due to reforms and contends for hegemony over the six states.

Located in the Northwest, Qin was a small state that has been devastated by attacks from its six rival states. After Duke Xian dies on the battlefield, the young Quliang (Hou Yong) succeeds the throne as Duke Xiao. It was a time of great danger and chaos, yet Duke Xiao bears the humiliation and swears to rise against their enemies. He calls forth talents from all over the world and succeeds in recruiting Wei Yang (Wang Zhifei), a Wei native who has failed to earn recognition in his home state.
