Synopsis and Plot Summary
Jiang Cheng, a top student from a key school, is sent away by his foster family to the steel factory where his father lives. As he transfers into a local school and returns to family he never really knew, he meets the resident bully Gu Fei by chance which marks the beginning of a story about salvation and hope.

- It was previously rumored that Wang Anyu and Yao Chi will star although the latter's casting was denied.
- It is a dangaiju 耽改剧 based on the boy's love novel Saye.
- The Chinese title "Zuo Jian You Ni" means "You On the Left Shoulder." The novel title "Saye" means "Act Wildly,"
- After the success of The Untamed in 2019, it is part of Tencent's BL-novel adaptations filmed in 2020 that include Immortality and Sha Po Lang.
- Filming quietly began in November 2020. However, due to the buzz around the drama, there were fan leaked photos of the casts in Harbin.
- Filming wrapped quietly on July 11, 2021 as the cast was spotted at the Harbin airport leaving for Beijing.
