Synopsis and Plot Summary
Two years ago, the sudden death of Li Jiahe's mother pushed her into darkness. On the eve before her 14th birthday, she encounters a young man who has returned from reform school. As she approaches him, she also plunges herself into an unprecedented predicament.
Faced with bullying at school and a cowardly father (Wu Guohua), Li Jiahe (Deng Enxi) was ostracized by her classmates for being the butcher's daughter. The death of her mother (Li Juan) two years ago estranged Jiahe from her father. With no one to rely on but herself, Jiahe gradually toughens up and becomes the type of person who will take an eye for an eye.
Because of a car accident, Li Jiahe runs into juvenile offender Yu Lei (Li Gan) who has been sent home for good behavior. After seeking a lawyer to no avail, Jiahe is determined to complete her revenge while she is still a minor at thirteen years old. She attempts to get close to Yu Lei, learns to drink and frequent internet cafes and even mingles with his friends. When she finally sees an opportunity, she walks along the edge of danger and crime.
