Synopsis and Plot Summary
Yin yang master Qing Ming inherited his master's last will and travels to attend the heavenly ceremony where he meets the warrior Boya. From rivals on opposite sides, they become friends and partners as they join hands to solve bizarre cases and uncover a century old secret to save the world.

- It is a two-part movie with the first part Qing Ya Ji (晴雅集) and the second part Long Ye Qu (泷夜曲) filmed consecutively.
- Yang Mi who has worked with Guo Jingming, Mark Chao and Deng Lun was spotted visiting the set.
- Filming began on August 19, 2019 in Hengdian World Studios.
- Filming was halted in January 2020 due to the covoronavirus epidemic in China.
- Filming for the second part of the movie eventually wrapped on April 22, 2020.
- Deng Lun had to shoot a scene topless for seven days.
- Mark Chao and Deng Lun would check each other's caps every five minutes to make sure it's not crooked and would reshoot a scene because of it. There was a joke that heads can roll, blood can spill but the hats must never be crooked. Mark Chao laughed that he it was the first time he has encountered someone who has worse OCD than him.
- It was picked up by Netflix for overseas broadcast.
- On Jan. 4, netizens noticed that The Yin Yang Master: Dream of Eternity has been pulled from theaters. There is speculation that it is due to the boycott against Guo Jingming over plagiarism.
