Synopsis and Plot Summary

Following the incident at the Dingtian Palace, Wu Xie had just learned about the hidden secrets of the Xisha seabed from his third uncle as well as the grievances among the Old Nine Gates during the Warring States period. He immediately receives two recordings sent by Zhang Qiling which leads him on another adventure as he tries to piece the fragmented clues together. As Wu Xie arrives in Qinghai, he falls into a deeper mystery.

It is said to be an adaptation of Daomu Biji book 4 (蛇沼鬼城), book 5 (谜海归墟), book 6 (阴山古楼) and book 7 (邛楼石影).
It has adapted the most books into one series with 4 out of the 9 Daomu Biji books by Nan Pai San Shu.
It is the third installment in the Daomu Biji drama adaptations by H&R Century Pictures. Each season features a different cast playing the same characters.
Xiao Yuliang who previously played Zhang Qiling in the Tomb of the Sea reprises his role.
