Synopsis and Plot Summary

After the untimely death of the director of Neurology at the Ninth Hospital, the story follows three generations of doctors exhibiting the true spirit of medical workers as they integrate Chinese and Western medicine into creative innovative diagnosis and treatments.

After the Department of Neurology lost their leader Ding Xuekun, his son Ding Yuanzhi (Zhou Dawei) who practices Western medicine returns from studies abroad in Sweden along with his student Han Xilin (Wang Youjun), a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner who has also lived abroad for many years. Together, they investigate the truth behind the director's death.
