Synopsis and Plot Summary
The inspirational story of Kang Naixin, a girl from the impoverished mountainous areas who meets shoe factory worker Cheng Ken by chance. They are reunited and separated again on the road to entrepreneurship, yet they manage to succeed in their efforts to establish an independent Chinese brand.
Kang Naixin (Zeng Yongxing) is a girl from Minnan who has travels to Jinjiang to look for her younger brother. A disagreement leads her to make the acquaintance of Hakka native Cheng Ken (Zhang Lu) though they eventually part ways. Kang Naixin finds a job at a garment factory where her young boss Chen Jiahao (Lin Youwei) falls in love with her at first sight. He is unable to make a move due to his mother's objections so he decides to remain friends with Kang Naixin and extend a helping hand whenever she needs it.
After Kang Naixin and Cheng Ken reunite in Xiamen, their relationship finally blossoms and they get married. Given the restructuring of state-owned enterprises, Cheng Ken grabs the opportunity to raise funds to build his own factory despite having no money and no venue. At this time, Kang Naixin's act of bravery earns her a favor with Zheng Haiguang (Ding Bozhong) who steps up to help her overcome a major hurdle in her attempt to start a business. As a couple and as individuals, Kang Naixin and Cheng Ken persevere in their respective endeavors to create their own clothing and footwear brands, thus embodying the essence of high-quality products in Fujian products.
