Synopsis and Plot Summary
During the reign of Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, Wei Xiaobao, a young man from the bottom rung of society, relies on his extraordinary wit to climb the ranks in the palace.
Wei Xiaobao (Zhang Yishan) is a man from the streets with an ordinary background. He does not know any martial arts yet accidentally becomes embroiled in the affairs of the pugilistic world. He disguises himself as a eunuch to enter the palace and becomes Emperor Kangxi's (Zhang Tianyang) trusted advisor.
He also meets the acquaintance of Chen Jinnan (Wang Yang), the leader of Tiandihui and becomes his disciple. Once a good-for-nothing who merely wanted to attain riches by befriending the emperor, Wei Xiaobao grows into a righteous man. He finally understands that instead of giving up his life for ambition, it is better to live life to the fullest with his beautiful wives.
