Synopsis and Plot Summary

A story that follows the countless choices mothers and fathers face in the process of parenting. In a society that prioritizes education above all, what choices should you make?

Married couple Su Xing (Liu Tao) and Xi Bin (Li Guangjie) have a son named Xi Wang. Most mothers would enroll their kids in various courses for fear that their child would lose out to others but not Su Xing and her husband. They believe in allowing their son to learn and grow at his own pace. However, they are faced with a dilemma when the old elementary school in their district is replaced with a newly-established school.

Xi Wang is about to start elementary school and Su Xing becomes anxious like the other mothers. Should she invest heavily in advanced classes? These problems become a source of disagreement as Su Xing's husband Xi Bin believes that excessive enthusiasm can only spoil things. At the same time, three other mothers from the same school district also face the challenges as parents and as husband and wives.
