Synopsis and Plot Summary
A young man's determination to find the truth takes him to the Silk Road and opens doors to uncover secrets in history. From a man motivated by his personal agenda, Mu Tianshu transforms into a fighter willing to make sacrifices to safeguard national heritage.
In 1892, Mu Wenshan who was an archeologist during the late Qing Dynasty was being hunted by two unknown forces in his search for an ancient treasure map. In order to protect his friend's son Yang Xu, Mu Wenshan, his wife and young son Mu Tuanshu lost their lives.
After twenty years, Yang Xu returns to the Western Regions using the name of his late friend Mu Tianshu to find the truth about their deaths. Travelling along the Silk Road, Mu Tianshu (Yan Yikuan) attempts to unravel the secrets of the mysterious painting from that time. As the conspiracy from 20 years ago comes to the surface, so does a dangerous encounter with a group of Japanese bandits conniving to seize the treasures for themselves.
