Synopsis and Plot Summary
Set during the period of the Republic of China is a legendary story that takes place in Zhangku Dadao, an old merchant road that runs through the entire territory of Chahar province.
Qin Tianyi (Lin Jidong) was originally the second grandson of Qin Zhaotong who is among the wealthiest merchants in Zhangjiakou. However, a conspiracy against them results in the death of Qin Zhaotong while Qin Tianyi barely escapes with his life. In trying to hunt down his enemy, Qin Tianyi becomes involved in a battle that is greater than himself as he strives to protect the economic lifeline of Zhangjiakou from those who seek to control it.
