Synopsis and Plot Summary

It takes inspiration from the Liu Han case that occurred in Sichuan and follows a group of heroes in the fight against corruption.

The Mianyang 1.10 case continues to be left unresolved in the past four years. He Yanling (Huang Zhizhong) leads his team to Binjiang to conduct investigations in secret. Seeing through the illusion that the suspect has been found, He Yanling concludes that a criminal organization whose evil knows no boundaries is pulling the strings behind the scenes and that a man named Liu Tang (He Ping) is the prime suspect.

Its network is ubiquitous like leaves sprouting from a sturdy tree that cannot be shaken. Shocked by the discovery, the central leadership of the Ministry of Public Security launch an all-out war to bring the criminals to justice with the intent to cut down the leaves because no matter how high up they are or how much power they wield, everyone must abide by the law. A special task force led by He Yanling engages the criminal organization in a battle of wits and will. Liu Tang spares no effort to escape by killing witnesses and insiders that may lead back to him and even attempting to bring down Binjiang deputy director Xu Wangdong (Zhang Yi) as his accomplice.
