Synopsis and Plot Summary
Set during the 1970's, the story follows of a young woman named Bai He who experiences a drastic change in her life when she is found pregnant. With the help of Dong Dashan, she aspires to rebuild her father's legacy.
Bai He (Yao Qianyu) was ridiculed and scorned by her fellow villagers after it was discovered that she was pregnant. Dong Dashan (Zhu Xiaoyu) is the village mute who comes to her rescue and silently cares for Bai He. When Bai He gave birth to her son, her mother demanded that she abandon the child. Unwilling to part with her baby, Bai He and Dashan get married as she is determined to start anew despite the difficulties that may arise.
