Synopsis and Plot Summary

A story that follows the daily shenanigans of an unpopular male idol who becomes rommates with a young business executive.

Baili Qianchuan's (Liu Zirui) efforts to get famous through his livestreams have not drawn any attention. Until one day, business executive Nan Bowan (Lu Dongxu) also appears on screen which leads netizens to mistakenly assume that the two have a special relationship. Baili Qianchuan gets a taste of stardom for the first time in his life. In order to keep the ruse, he has to appear friendly with Nan Bowan in public even though their real relationship in private can be quite chaotic.

It is written and directed by Chai Jidan who wrote the Chinese BL web series Addicted starring Huang Jingyu and Xu Weizhou.
It premiered quietly without doing any promotions.
Less than an hour after its premiere, Huang Jingyu who worked with writer Chai Jidan on Addicted commented on her Weibo to show support as he said, "Support Dandan's new drama."It is a short series with each episode roughly less than 10 minutes long.
Bai Li Tiao Yi translates to choosing one in a hundred. Baili (百里) is the main character's surname in the series. Tiao Yi (挑一) means choosing one. The name Nan Bowan sounds like number 1.
