Synopsis and Plot Summary

A story that follows manhua characters from a 2D world that have entered the human world to find their missing companion. Along the way, they meet a downtrodden musician who becomes their guide.

Jia (Sun Xun), Yi (Long Jie), Bing (Wei Ren) and Ding (Zhang Huayu) have inherited the roles of Sheng, Dan, Jing and Chou in Peking Opera. They are masters of everything from singing and dancing to martial arts. They have never lost to anyone and most importantly, they are inseparable.

Until one day, the unthinkable happens. On the birthday of their leader Tuye, Jia, Yi and Ding come upon the news that Bing has ingested a forbidden drug that has caused him to accidentally break into the three-dimensional world of humans.

Tuye orders Jia, Yi and Ding to go to the human world to retrieve Bing but they only have a limited time to complete their mission else they will never be able to return. Even worse, their world will suffer a calamity unlike any other.

As the trio start on a new adventure, they meet musician Shi San (Chen Xinzhe) who is out of luck and out of money. When Jia, Yi and Ding's real 2D identities are discovered, they end up forming a virtual band, 'Dramaholic', with Shi San that becomes popular overnight. Jia also falls in love at first sight with manua artist A Qiu (Zheng Qiuhong).
